　　本片由实在事务改编而成，故事发生在1970年月初的斯坦福大学，一群大门生停止了一场关于人类行为的研讨实验。他们分红两伙人，一伙人饰演牢狱狱警，别的一些人则饰演犯人，在24小时内起头模拟牢狱里的平常生活。成果证实，饰演狱警的人在模拟牢狱的情境中，起头变得有暴力偏向，而饰演犯人的人则预谋造反。实验未几就被叫停，但其研讨成果很多年来一向为人们所关注，引发了普遍的争议。

花絮

.与以往的一样描写斯坦福牢狱尝试的影片分歧，本片是按照率领这项尝试的心理学家菲利普·津巴度(Philip Zimbardo)回忆录改编，从他本人那边获得了很多第一手和细节的素材。

.最早，德国人在2001年就拍摄了以斯坦福牢狱尝试为原型的影片《灭亡尝试》，2010年这部电影被好莱坞翻拍，由阿德里安·布洛迪、福里斯特·惠特克主演。

.Angarano与Braun、Ezra Miller与Johnny Simmons、Ki Hong Lee与 Sheffield、Gilchrist与Mann此前都曾一路出演过影片，别离是《超人高校》、《壁花少年》、《移动迷宫》以及《说来有些可笑》。

.在紧接着本片以后，Thomas Mann与Matt Bennett又一路表演了另一部电影，这就是在第二年圣丹斯电影节上大放异彩的《我和厄尔以及将死的女孩》。
