　　影片以1993年在巴黎18区发生的一路差人暴力的实在事务为布景：一位差人在巡查时代枪杀了一位17岁的扎伊尔少年Makomé M'Bowolé。而在影片傍边，巴黎陌头，一群反政府青年。胶葛由其中一人被差人殴打重伤而起，众人怀恨在心。文兹（文森特·卡塞尔 Vincent Cassel饰）弄到一把真枪，决心还以色彩。他们的冤仇与愤慨到处可见，这场与差人之间的大范围抵触，一触即发。混战中，文兹被差人开枪打死，他的同党也颤抖着瞄准了差人的头，枪声响起……不管是差人还是陌头混混，每小我都落空了控制。这青春期里的不安与躁动，就像失控的怒火一般，无人幸免。 导演马修·卡索维茨荣获第48届戛纳电影节(1995)主比赛单元最好导演奖。
