◎简 介
一位在堪薩斯大學任教，熱心宣揚台獨理念的台裔美籍教授在校園被殘酷謀殺。而在事务爆發後，一個對臺灣政治生態毫無所悉的警探傑克(詹姆斯范達畢 克飾演)被派調查這個案子。隨著線索一步一步展開，他才發現工作並非如概况所顯現的單純，自己竟逐漸逼近一個牽扯到美、中、台高層政治敏感神經的可骇陰謀。偵察過程中，該警探發現有一個組織龐大的間諜網滲透美國大學校園，專門監視臺灣人及臺灣留學生的政治與交际活動。由於情況早已超越想像，於是他乞助於美國聯邦調查局，卻發現聯邦調查局己晓得這個間諜網的存在；可是聯邦調查局卻默許這樣的行為，以交換自己在台海間諜活動的順利執行。而在缺少外助的情況下，他隻身橫跨美國中西部，訪查各大校園、中國城，最後發現兇嫌乃是來自台灣的黑幫份子。當他跨海來到台灣，逐漸逼近事务焦点，卻發現自己被情治高層命令追殺…
