卡迪首先出现在萨姆一家的周围，造成他们心灵上的恐慌。而后他诱引并殴打了萨姆的情妇，又开始接近萨姆的女儿丹妮。恐惧的萨姆雇佣了打手袭击卡迪，却被凶猛的卡迪打得落花流水。一天深夜，卡迪潜入萨姆的住所，残忍地杀死了萨姆家的保镖和厨娘。
已成惊弓之鸟的萨姆带着妻子、女儿仓皇逃跑。卡迪也一直尾随他们追逐到一个叫“恐怖角”的地方。在狂风暴雨的晚上，卡迪爬上了萨姆一家藏身的游船。一场殊死搏斗过后，恐怖的卡迪最终与游船一起被汹涌的河水所吞灭。经历过这次磨难，萨姆一家紧紧地拥抱在一起。
