在洛杉矶，正在风行一种新的发现，叫做“恋爱时钟”。只要付出一定的安装费和月租费，便可以装在手段上，正确地为仆人停止真爱倒计时。乌娜很猎奇，便和约会工具一路跑去安装。成果很让人失望，时钟显现，这个汉子要再等三年才能成婚。而安娜手上的不管怎样调试，都是空缺。身旁的朋友一个个都有了归宿，乌娜感觉自己快落空耐心了。她抛开自己原本制定的择偶标准，和超市的收银员米奇一见钟情。米奇的恋爱时钟只剩下四个月的时候了，乌娜的心里非常忐忑，未来的四个月，会发生什么呢，也许只要疏忽滴答的时钟，才能找到属于自己的真爱。看来这项发现并没有给乌娜带来欢畅。不外也是，豪情的事儿，经不起推算，可遇而不成求。
